When do tickets go on sale? Major attractions: release dates, closures and free days (2026-27)
Of the 12 major attractions on this page, in Europe, Japan and the USA, 8 publish an exact rule for releasing tickets (a day of the week, a day of the month, fixed dates or a set number of days ahead), and the next release we calculated is at the Nintendo Museum on Sunday 1 November 2026; for each attraction we quote the official website, last checked on 31 October 2026, and calculate the dates from its rule.
Some of the dates on this page have passed. We calculated them on 31 October 2026: the table and the “next” dates at the top skip past dates in your browser, but the text further down may still name them. Check the official page before you book.
Museums and attractions can change their rules, add closures or release extra tickets at short notice. We quote their official pages word for word, with the date we checked them, and calculate the dates from the official rule. Before you book, check the official page. This site is not affiliated with any museum or ticket seller.
Every attraction
“How tickets go on sale” is our short summary of the official rule; each attraction page quotes it word for word, with the link and the date. We calculate a date only when the official rule is exact (a day of the week and a time, “the first Sunday of the month”, a day of the month, or the dates in an official schedule); when tickets are released every day for a set number of days ahead, the page counts the days for you. When the official page says “roughly”, gives no day, or two official texts disagree, we show the text and no date. Times are local to the attraction. Dates calculated on 31 October 2026.

How we check
We read the official websites of the museums and sites (and nothing else: no blogs, guides or ticket resellers), quote the rules word for word and calculate the dates of the next six months from them. The pages and the calendar files show the date of our last check. More on the About page. Spotted a change? Tell us.
